The System Worked??????
Janet Napolitano’s comments on the attempted bombing of the aircraft bound for Detroit…
“One thing I’d like to point out is that the system worked,” Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Sunday morning on CNN.
“This was one individual, literally, of thousands that fly and thousands of flights every year,” Napolitano said. “And he was stopped before any damage could be done.”
This woman has no business being in charge of Homeland Security… Will the clueless Obummbler administration do anything about this????? They could start by sending Janet packing..

Ahh, c’mon. This guy boarded a flight in Amsterdam, waited 7 hours until the flight was landing in Detroit, and then tried to use a chemical detonator to ignite whatever he had in his underwear. If you expect the head of Homeland Security to catch a guy like this then you are dreaming.
I am more upset that she has now recanted her statement and has now said that the system failed. What mechanism would have uncovered gunpowder in his underwear in a foreign country along with a chemical detonator?
It does not matter what methods you employ to catch a determined individual. He will always think of a different way to do the same thing. So now when you fly you cannot have a blanket in your lap or get out of your seat an hour before the plane lands. Won’t a determined person just go to the bathroom 90 minutes before the plane lands or 30 minutes after it takes off?
It is reasonable to take precautions, yes, but to prevent all possibilities is impossible.
What we should be telling people is that the man or woman next to you may be a terrorist. It is up to you to report suspicious behavior and to stop him/her if you see him’her trying to do anything to detonate explosives. An informed and prepared citizen is the best foil for these events not more stupid rules.
I want to wear my shoes thru security again. It will not happen as long we focus on silly rules instead of preparing people to disrupt your fellow passenger if they try to ignite anything.

The fact that she made the statement in the first place is maddening.. And then the recant… She’s a boob.
I agree with all you say… (weird eh??) but the Obama Admin told Janet to go out there and tell everybody that everything’s OK and the system worked… WTF???? That was irresponsible and the very least
