I find it amusing that Republicans don’t believe that Bush,Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Powell lied us into war with Iraq but they are willing to believe that thousands of scientists and many countries around the world have conspired to make Global Warming appear credible.
The mote in one’s own eye, as they say.

The intel that lead to war was also from the Clinton Admin. Clinton himself said in a speech in 1999 that SH needed to removed….. So I guess we can say Clinton lied too….

And please… Can you please explain how these 2 circumstances are similar. The cost of the Iraq war will not even amount to a pittance compared to the cost of global warming legislation. Try to find someone to blame other than George Bush.

You cannot confuse me on this issue. There was no intelligene that Iraq had WMD in 2002. None.Zip. Nada. In fact the UN said there was no evidence and Bush, et al, said they did not know what they were talking about. AND what Powell said about Niger Yellow Cake was that the ‘British said’. Powell never said whether the US agreed with the British and in fact Powell withheld the information that Joe Wilson had found NO evidence that Iraq was buying yellow cake from Niger. Lies, lies, lies form Bush , et al,so don’t drag that line out that everybody in the world believed that Iraq had WMD.
And please don’t say that Clinton wanted Saddam out as proof that it was okay to fabricate lies about WMD in Iraq. Hundreds of thousands of good Iraqis were displaced, tens of thousands were injured or killed because President Bush, et al, ginned up the war in Iraq. There was nothing honorable about the Executive Branch’s reasons for the Iraq War.
And I was not talking about cost. I was talking about the willingness of Republicans to believe a conspiracy about global warming but not willing to believe a conspiracy among the Bush Administration even with the information we have now.

Remind me how many democrats saw the same intelligence and voted for the war.
JOE WILSON!!! Habitual liar WILSON!! Are you serious?
You are talking about supposed info we have NOW!!!! After the fact… Well we have info NOW before they act on global warming. We also have this little thing called scientific method which is very specific on how to prove a hypothesis and consensus isn’t part of it.
Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis were killed, maimed and raped because of Saddam. Of those who were killed during the war, most were killed by their own terrorist citizens, not the US military. Of course the UN will go against the Bush admin. The UN lost it’s fraudulent cash cow when the war started. We can agree to disagree on the war but if the Repubs were duped then so were the dems because they saw that same intel and voted for the war. You cite many accusations but I have yet to hear of any charges against the Bush Admin.
Now let’s see if we can move beyond the blame Bush thing……. You usually have better arguments than that.
