Questions of the Day

This country has been around for over 200 years. We’ve lived with out this supposed health crap legislation, that isn’t even written and is only in the head (I didn’t say brain) of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, for the entire life of this nation thus far.

If this bill is so wonderful, What’s the hurry?

Shouldn’t this bill pass on it’s own merits?

Why is it the republicans fault when the Democrats have a 60 vote majority?

Why does the Obama administration have to threaten a sitting democrat senator from Nebraska with the closing of SAC to get him to vote for this bill?

I’m just askin…..

Does anybody have any answers to these questions?????

    I’ll give it a whirl.

What’s the hurry? Less than 11 months until the next election. The longer this thing drags out the worse it is for the Dems. But then it does not kick in until 2014.

It’s own merits? What merits are those exactly? No one knows as if you have not been privvy to the secret meetings in Harry Reids office you have not seen the vill.

Why is it the Republican’s fault? Because Democrats have never accepted responsiblity for their own shortcomings. They never havem they never will.

Why doe the Obama admin have to threaten? That’s all they have. Plus this administration learned how to play politics in Chicago.

The only thing wrong with your answer is it’s the RIGHT answer…….
I wanted to hear the LEFT answer…. (I’m in need of a chuckle)

Please, someone try to convince me that Harry Reid is not a certifiable idiot, and Nancy Pelosi’s face lifts have squeezed her brain and given her a permanent smile. Obama’s rush for health care reform completion is to give him something to talk about in his “State of The Union” address regardless of it’s consequences which he probably doesn’t know about because I haven’t heard about a health care “Czar” to explain it to him. Of course he has to find a “Cazar” that can read big words!

Rush for healthcare reform? Nine months is not a rush. The Patriot Act was a rush, not healthcare.

And if we count the Clinton attempt, it is a 17 year long bill-in-process. But, hey, it still is a bad bill. Even though I support national healthcare and I support lots of the parts in this bill, I would not vote for any version that ‘forces’ me to buy insurance. That is inherently un-American. I had hopes that the Senate would fix this thing but they are not going to.

What I want has not changed:
    1. Portability of coverage from job to job to retirement.
    2. Eliminate pre-existing conditions.
    3. Replace state oversight and bonding of nationwide insurance companies with federal oversight and bonding.
    4. All citizens are covered one way or another: insurance, MSAs, cash bonds, federal coverage, matching funds, whatever. No non-citizen coverage by any federal or state government.
    5. Health and wellness clinics focused on promoting good behaviors and reducing bad behaviors.
    6. Cradle-to-grave coverage with higher premiums for risky behaviors. Lower premiums available through annual check-ups and testing for no risky behaviors.

    How difficult can this be?

This all could be done through private insurance. Just drop some of the restrictions and allow for more competition. The dems in Washington want competition but only in the form of a public option. They don’t want to allow for interstate options or even tort reform. Why is that? They want to control everything and that’s unconstitutional. The government has already proven itself inept at health care insurance and retirement savings. This is no different. Contrary to what Obama says, this insurance take over will bankrupt the federal government, not any kind of inaction to pass it. Look at what’s happened to BadgerCare. Obamacare is no different.

Another thing….. This bill isn’t even on paper…… How can a bill that doesn’t exist be passed and signed???

You also might want to rethink the Patriot Act and Healthcare comparo….. Totally different circumstances.
