Let’s NOT Live the DREAM……. Act
The US Senate is now trying to go a little bit under the radar and get a cloture vote on the DREAM act.
Bad Idea….. This is an amnesty deal.
There’s a sob story on JSOnline about some ILLEGALS that would benefit from the passage of this. A couple of key points to notice in the story:
Ana, now 24, agreed to be interviewed if she was not identified, because of her immigration status. Now she and others like her are hoping that the proposed Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act – commonly called the DREAM Act – introduced by U.S. Sen. Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) and supported by Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) will pass.
This woman is 24 and STILL ILLEGAL!!!!!!! Has she made any attempt to become a resident of this country? I highly doubt it.
Another noticeable statement in the story:
Miguel, 17, a high school senior in Racine, was brought here when he was 11. “I didn’t want to leave my school and my friends. My whole life was in Mexico, but my parents decided,” he says. Now he’s learned English and French, loves math and chemistry. He has an overall 3.9 grade point average and thinks he would like to be a doctor. But first he has to go to college.
If the DREAM Act doesn’t pass before he graduates, he said, “I’m going back to Mexico to work and go to school.”
Good thinking Miguel…….. You can go HOME and go to school. You’ll be legal there.
I happened to know someone who is an immigrant and went through the system to become a citizen. Free stuff like this for ILLEGALS, especially those who don’t do a thing to change their situation, really makes him angry……
And you wouldn’t like him when he’s angry…………..
