AFP Taxpayer Rally
What a blast!!!!
This event was well organized and well attended although the unions found it so very important to be heard that they sent even more than we had. We were not being paid like the union guys were…..
I can’t name all the speakers but the most notable were Fred Dooley, Owen Robinson, Reince Priebus, Pat Snyder, Vicki McKenna and AFPWI’s Mark Block.
All of the speakers got the crowd going even though they had to battle the air horns and screaming of the union members. They were sooooo polite(sarcasm)
At one point the union folk showed off their mental prowess by chanting “BULLSH**T” when confronted with the facts of the current budget impasse.
It just amazes me how the very people who receive their income from us…..THE TAXPAYERS!!!!! Can be shouted down for speaking up. Talk about the biting the hand that feeds you.

During the course of the day I also was able to meet a few other bloggers so I’m going to give a Big E salute to Steveegg, Kathy Carpenter, Owen Robinson, and Jenna.

Awesome – wish I could have been there! Thanks for posting the pics and telling us a bit about how this went…been wondering.
And oh yes, taxpayer hell sure fills the proverbial bill…yeesh!

Awesome… I was there and I never had so much fun. Being able to support my views and watch the union people make fools of themselves was so much fun.
One of the funniest things was the few signs out there that were written in Spanish!!! Somebody remind me… we’re in America, right? Shouldn’t they be speaking OUR language? Hmm, show me a green card.

Thanks AFP for the Defend Wisconsin rally yesterday, and the opportunity to attend it! It made me so proud to be a part of this very great organization and this very well done rally. I thought of every speaker as being a great “cheerleader” for No New Taxes. You know, the cheerleader helps encourage the team to victory! The guy with the green shirt (AFSCME) who approached me and sneered,”Go home and count your stocks & bonds, you rich people come down and…(I hurried away before I heard what else he had to say) only showed me how uninformed they were…I’m a retired taxpayer who can’t afford more taxes because I won’t get the raise this union member is making an ass out of himself for.
