NEW ORLEANS — The federal government is shutting down the dredging that was being done to create protective sand berms in the Gulf of Mexico.
The berms are meant to protect the Louisiana coastline from oil. But the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department has concerns about where the dredging is being done.Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser, who was one of the most vocal advocates of the dredging plan, has sent a letter to President Barack Obama, pleading for the work to continue.
Nungesser said the government has asked crews to move the dredging site two more miles farther off the coastline.”Once again, our government resource agencies, which are intended to protect us, are now leaving us vulnerable to the destruction of our coastline and marshes by the impending oil,” Nungesser wrote to Obama. “Furthermore, with the threat of hurricanes or tropical storms, we are being put at an increased risk for devastation to our area from the intrusion of oil.
They have concerns about the dredging….???????…….
WHAT ABOUT THE F***ING OIL???????????????????
Remember now folks….. This is the same crowd that is taking over health care…. Are ya worried yet?

Al and his lying sack of IPCC “scientist” friends knowingly altered the data to attain the results they desired. That’s not a mistake or science….. That’s FRAUD.
Climb back in to your running SUV limo and head back to the cave, Al…….

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, is not revealing the price tag of the congressional junket to Copenhagen…. Why should she care???? It’s not her money…
They were joined by 17 colleagues: Democrats: Waxman, Miller, Markey, Gordon, Levin, Blumenauer, DeGette, Inslee, Ryan, Butterfield, Cleaver, Giffords, and Republicans: Barton, Upton, Moore Capito, Sullivan, Blackburn and Sensenbrenner.
That’s not the half of it. But finding out more was a bit like trying to get the keys to Ft. Knox. Many referred us to Speaker Pelosi who wouldn’t agree to an interview. Her office said it “will comply with disclosure requirements” but wouldn’t give us cost estimates or even tell us where they all stayed.

Senator Inhofe (R-OK) is one of the few who provided us any detail. He attended the summit on his own for just a few hours, to give an “opposing view.”
“They’re going because it’s the biggest party of the year,” Sen. Inhofe said. “The worst thing that happened there is they ran out of caviar.”
Our investigation found that the congressional delegation was so large, it needed three military jets: two 737′s and a Gulfstream Five — up to 64 passengers — traveling in luxurious comfort.
Add senators and staff, most of whom flew commercial, and we counted at least 101 Congress-related attendees. All for a summit that failed to deliver a global climate deal.
That’s a mighty big carbon footprint just for a chance to party with Pelosi…….. (Gosh…. That doesn’t even sound fun..)
I wonder when the folks in our government will notice that we’re having some economic problems here in the United States.
Don’t forget to add an “OPT OUT” box on our tax forms regarding your 100 billion dollar giveaway for Gorebal Whining. I don’t want my hard earned money going to Castro or Chaves under the guise of this big fat communist lie you’re trying to jam down our throats….
Telltale signs are everywhere —from the unexpected persistence and thickness of pack ice in the
waters around Iceland to the southward migration of a warmth-loving creature like the armadillo from the
Midwest.Since the 1940s the mean global temperature has dropped about 2.7° F. Although that figure is
at best an estimate, it is supported by other convincing data. When Climatologist George J. Kukla of
Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory and his wife Helena analyzed satellite
weather data for the Northern Hemisphere, they found that the area of the ice and snow cover had
suddenly increased by 12% in 1971 and the increase has persisted ever since. Areas of Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic, for example, were once totally free of any snow in summer; now they are covered
year round.
Scientists have found other indications of global cooling. For one thing there has been a noticeable
expansion of the great belt of dry, high-altitude polar winds —the so-called circumpolar vortex—that
sweep from west to east around the top and bottom of the world. Indeed it is the widening of this cap of
cold air that is the immediate cause of Africa’s drought. By blocking moisture-bearing equatorial winds
and preventing them from bringing rainfall to the parched sub-Sahara region, as well as other droughtridden
areas stretching all the way from Central America to the Middle East and India, the polar winds
have in effect caused the Sahara and other deserts to reach farther to the south. Paradoxically, the
same vortex has created quite different weather quirks in the U.S. and other temperate zones. As the
winds swirl around the globe, their southerly portions undulate like the bottom of a skirt. Cold air is
pulled down across the Western U.S. and warm air is swept up to the Northeast. The collision of air
masses of widely differing temperatures and humidity can create violent storms—the Midwest’s recent
rash of disastrous tornadoes, for example.

The earth’s current climate is something of an anomaly; in the past 700,000 years, there have been at
least seven major episodes of glaciers spreading over much of the planet. Temperatures have been as
high as they are now only about 5% of the time. But there is a peril more immediate than the prospect of
another ice age. Even if temperature and rainfall patterns change only slightly in the near future in one
or more of the three major grain-exporting countries—the U.S., Canada and Australia —global food
stores would be sharply reduced. University of Toronto Climatologist Kenneth Hare, a former president
of the Royal Meteorological Society, believes that the continuing drought and the recent failure of the
Russian harvest gave the world a grim premonition of what might happen. Warns Hare: “I don’t believe
that the world’s present population is sustainable if there are more than three years like 1972 in a row.”
In 1974 they reported that there wasn’t much time…… The ice age was coming……. We’re all DOOMED!!!!!!
World leaders and VIPs began pouring into Copenhagen Monday morning for the city’s long-awaited climate summit, arriving in style in a fleet of gas-guzzling limos and luxury cars.
Most delegates to the climate change conference haven’t exactly been hoofing their way to Denmark’s capital, swarming the city’s airport with 140 private jets, 1,200 hired limousines and a carbon footprint the size of a small country.
Video shot on the scene Monday shows squads of new arrivals at the green gathering pulling up in BMWs, Mercedes Benzes, sleek Volvos and plush Jaguars. A bus reserved for the delegates rode along empty outside the conference center.
It amazes me how many sheep still take these losers seriously…..
So not only are the Obummblers wasting a whole lot of taxpayer cash by going to Copenhagen to try to cast their messianic spell over the IOC, they’re not even taking the same aircraft.
Michelle arrived today and Barry’s going to show up on Friday.
Mrs. Obama arrived here Wednesday morning to lend her support to Chicago’s efforts to win the 2016 Summer Olympics. As head of Chicago’s delegation—and her husband’s representative until he arrives Friday—she plans to meet with as many IOC members as possible to try to persuade them to pick her hometown over Rio de Janeiro, Madrid and Tokyo.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again……… If you envirowhacko, W.H.O.R.E.s, Goracle huggin’ FREAKS Really believe the global whining BS then LIVE IT…… Practice what you preach. Apply cap and tax to yourself first…..
WASHINGTON — Massive crop devastation, melting glaciers, water shortages, millions of displaced people — all of these will drag the US military into conflict if global climate change goes unchecked, a Senate panel was warned today.
Fresh from her milk carton tour, Hillary swooped down on India to try to kiss some butt, apologize for America, and try to get India to sign on with a low carbon emissions economic suicide pact.
Mrs Clinton, on a five-day visit to the country, said that low-carbon emissions would not jeopardise India’s high economic growth rates and its goal of lifting millions of people out of poverty. She offered a technological partnership to secure the fast growing nation’s energy supplies and help boost the livelihoods of its farmers.
“There is simply no case for the pressure that we, who have been among the lowest emissions per capita, face to actually reduce emissions,” Jairam Ramesh, India’s environment minister told Mrs Clinton. “And as if this pressure was not enough, we also face the threat of carbon tariffs on our exports to countries such as yours.”
You gotta love the “will not harm economic growth” lie.
Fire up the private jet and the SUV’s and get Al over there!!!!
If you have plans to visit a waterpark on Friday, the trip could be more chilling than thrilling.
Record low high temperatures are forecast for southern Wisconsin on Friday as a very cool Canadian air mass covers the region.
The high on Friday is only expected to be in the low 60s, which would be under the record coldest high temperature in Madison for July 17 of 67 degrees, set in 1900.
Heh…. WHOOPS…. It’s record cold they’re predicting…… Shucks……. I didn’t mean to alarm anyone.
WASHINGTON — If the Senate doesn’t pass a bill to cut global warming, Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer says, there will be dire results: droughts, floods, fires, loss of species, damage to agriculture, worsening air pollution and more.
She says there’s a huge upside, however, if the Senate does act: millions of clean-energy jobs, reduced reliance on foreign oil and less pollution for the nation’s children.
Ma’am Boxer heads up the Environment and Public Works committee that will be one of 6 committees to oversee the bill.
I’ll be waiting to see if anybody asks Ma’am if she has any facts to corroborate her claims. We all know the answer is no but in this era of liberal crap journalism and pussy republicans on the Hill, the question will go unasked.
Our (almost) lone hope on the Hill is Sen Inhofe. Will he ask the tough questions???
The EPA has released a document proving that unilateral Crap and Tax by the US will do NOTHING to curb anything….
As usual it’s Sen. Inhofe breaking the bad news.
During a hearing today in the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, EPA Administrator Jackson confirmed an EPA analysis showing that unilateral U.S. action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions would have no effect on climate. Moreover, when presented with an EPA chart depicting that outcome, Energy Secretary Steven Chu said he disagreed with EPA’s analysis.
“I believe the central parts of the [EPA] chart are that U.S. action alone will not impact world CO2 levels,” Administrator Jackson said.
Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) presented the chart to both Jackson and Secretary Chu, which shows that meaningful emissions reductions cannot occur without aggressive action by China, India, and other developing countries. “I am encouraged that Administrator Jackson agrees that unilateral action by the U.S. will be all cost for no climate gain,” Sen. Inhofe said. “With China and India recently issuing statements of defiant opposition to mandatory emissions controls, acting alone through the job-killing Waxman-Markey bill would impose severe economic burdens on American consumers, businesses, and families, all without any impact on climate.”
Of course Ahh Chu doesn’t believe the data from his own administrations EPA but you also have to remember that this is the guy who wants to paint your room white….. Loon……
The question now is whether or not the Obumbler Administration listens to the same EPA that they have backed in the past. Given the the EPA’s document and the fact that the only administration on the planet that wants Crap and Tax belongs to President Borg, one would think that this is dead but then again President Borg only cares about what HE wants, not his constituency.
Al Gore today compared the battle against climate change with the struggle against the Nazis.
The former US Vice President said the world lacked the political will to act and invoked the spirit of Winston Churchill by encouraging leaders to unite their nations to fight climate change. He also accused politicians around the world of exploiting ignorance about the dangers of global warming to avoid difficult decisions. Speaking in Oxford at the Smith School World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment, sponsored by The Times, Mr Gore said: “Winston Churchill aroused this nation in heroic fashion to save civilisation in World War II.”
He added: “We have everything we need except political will but political will is a renewable resource.”
Mr Gore admitted that it was difficult to persuade the public that the threat from climate change was as urgent as the threat from Nazi Germany.
“The level of awareness and concern among populations has not crossed the threshold where political leaders feel that they must change.
“The only way politicians will act is if awareness raises to a level to make them feel that it’s a necessity.
Seriously….. The guy’s a nutjob.
I’m wondering if there are some Jewish folks out there that disagree with this irrelevant lunatic….
Disclosure: I’m not exactly a fan of Michael Savage but this had to be posted for it’s content and the fact that debate was not allowed at the congressional hearings. All so the Goracle wouldn’t be embarrassed.
