H/T: Common Cents AND Banker Dude!!!
Would this guy look good in Green and Gold?????

Just askin’… Again.
The Green Bay Packers have signed RB Ahman Green and placed RB DeShawn Wynn on injured reserve. Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, announced the transactions Wednesday.
Green played seven seasons (2000-06) in Green Bay, which included four consecutive Pro Bowl appearances (2001-04). He began his NFL career in Seattle (1998-99) and also played two seasons in Houston (2007-08). With 8,162 career rushing yards with the Packers, Green needs 46 more yards to surpass No. 1 Jim Taylor (8,207) and become the franchise’s all-time leading rusher.
A 6-foot, 217-pound player, he will wear No. 34.
Wynn, a third-year pro, had seen action in four games in 2009.

It looks like the packers are close to resigning Mark Tauscher!!!!!

Excellent.
GO PACK GO!!!!
Just a little bit of support from down south!!
The Packers decided not to go with the receiver for their first pick and selected B.J. Raji, a defensive tackle from Boston College. The Pack then made a trade with New England to get the 26th pick over all as well. The 26th pick was USC Linebacker, Clay Matthews.
Here’s the sscouting report for Raji;
Raji has outstanding NFL potential. He is a wide defensive tackle, who could possibly play nose tackle in a 3-4 defensive scheme. Raji is almost too big, as he has had weight and stamina issues throughout his college career. He also had shoulder surgery and missed 2008 spring practice at Boston College. Raji had a solid ’08 campaign with a team high 16 tackles-for-loss and eight sacks despite being double-teams for much of the season. He has great handwork inside and is very tough against the run, but he is also strong enough to overcome line chaos and get to the ball. Raji can penetrate deep in the backfield at will, showing quickness few people his size can hope to have. He has trouble making plays outside of the guard box, which limits his effectiveness outside of that area. He also will have to overcome some ego issues and could be a problem in that regard. A strong head coach will have to keep him centered and productive throughout what should be a good NFL career.
The scouting report on Matthews:
A very aggressive tackler with a nose for the ball, Matthews enjoyed a very productive collegiate career at USC. He’s adept at blitzing and getting to the quarterback and maintains adequate balance and push around the edge as a rusher, which starts with his quick first step. Clay also comes from solid NFL pedigree as his dad (Clay Matthews Sr.) was a long time NFL linebacker. Matthews is a bit undersized to play defensive end in a 3-4 scheme, but he has the football intelligence and skill to stand up and play rush outside linebacker. Given his frame, Matthews runs extremely well and uses his speed and fluid instincts to establish excellent technique in all phases of the game. He needs to improve on his coverage skills and could stand to be more fluid downfield when pivoting. He’s got sideline-to-sideline play-making ability, however, and shows the natural instincts and hunger for the game that coaches love. He didn’t fully reach his potential at USC either, so his upside and room for growth at the next level make him an enticing fit for any team.
